Atlantic-Pacific Processing Systems (APPS) provides payment and acquiring solutions platforms to over 150,000 merchants worldwide. The company has been selected as a North American Acquirer for Visa’s payment gateways Authorize.net and Cybersource.
APPS’s clients include banking institutions, processors, acquirers, payment facilitators, ISVs, BINs, and ISOs. The company’s offering spans over 100 payment methods, including cashless payments, ACH and check processing, and POS solutions with NFC, Apple Pay, and a built-in loyalty feature.
Dev.Pro cooperates with APPS on an outstaffing model with the technical lead on the client’s side. Four senior software engineers were onboarded by Dev.Pro within a month and now closely collaborate with APPS’s in-house team.
Dev.Pro’s engineering experts are part of the APPS development team building a merchant processing platform that is to become a valuable addition to APPS’s extensive ecosystem of acquiring and payment solutions.

The Dev.Pro team joined this payment technology project at an advanced stage of the SDLC; the thoroughly planned immersive onboarding process laid a solid foundation for further engineering, DevOps, and testing activities.
The goal of the partnership is to extend the inherent technical expertise of APPS by augmenting its team to increase software development speed and quality, and to provide insights on viable process improvements (e.g. delivery process, metrics, scope/estimates/planning).
An in-depth audit of the existing applications and technology stack of the project was conducted to ensure a 360-degree understanding of the technical intricacies of the software systems, its architecture, infrastructure, and security. This approach facilitates further scope planning and task flow for team members.
File management system update and optimization is a core focus in the work of the team, who are now streamlining the existing tech stack with forward-looking architectural decisions to support expansion of product functionality.
Predominantly LatAm technical experts have a significant time overlap with the US-based client, enabling immediate interaction on any approval processes that emerge outside of weekly meetings.
Senior full-stack engineers also ensure quality control at every phase, creating and running unit tests to identify any errors and bugs and address them promptly for higher code quality and faster feature deployment.
Looking forward, security and compliance of the financial technical platform are the next strategic focus before the licensing and launch of the platform.
