The new Ria Agent App is a game changer for Ria operations. DevPro has been instrumental in its evolution from a very basic app to an experience-focused, multi-functional tool that helps our agents operate much more efficiently. Leveraging existing logic used by other Ria platforms, the development team were able to help us streamline regular processes by placing them right into our agents hands. We look forward to the continued evolution of this product as manual operations undergo these important digital transformations.

The company opened its first store in 1987. Ria has since grown to become the third largest money transfer service in the world.

As of 2024, Ria’s money transfer services are available at over 500,000 locations in 165 countries, online, and through their app.

Dev.Pro’s team has created a Ria Agent application that serves a role of transactional carrier within a network of ria agents serving in the North and South America, Europe, Asia and Africa.

The mobile application has been developed using latest technologies like Ionic 7 and is available both for iOS and Android. Application is already in production use, Dev.Pro is improving the functionality and extending support of the application for more countries. Team provides a new version of the application each month, incorporating feedback from Ria Agent and improving features.

DEV.PRO CONTRIBUTION

Dev.Pro provided UX and UI expertise to create an app that is both modern and user-friendly. This was reflected in numerous positive reviews in the app stores and a high app rating (over 4.8). Now in 2024, we are completely redesigning the app and improving UX.

The suggested cross-platform technology for delivering mobile applications, Ionic 7, streamlined the simultaneous development of Android and iOS applications. This approach not only met the client’s most optimistic expectations but also leveraged cost efficiencies for the development team.

In coordination with the Product and Backend teams on the client’s side, the Dev.Pro team planned and delivered the product with regular releases. Team established feedback loops and adhered to the highest quality standards.

Our BA assists the PO with feature requirements and discussions with the technical team to ensure that all business requirements are met and implemented properly. Also, BA is responsible for documenting functionality.

The Dev.Pro team suggested and implemented processes for application development, testing, and release.

Introduced rules for ticket management in Jira, began utilizing a Git workflow, documented project processes, and created project guides.

Team implemented a rigorous quality assurance (QA) process to guarantee a high-quality end product. This involved comprehensive testing at various stages of development to promptly identify and address any issues. Using systematic testing methodologies, we delivered a flawless and bug-free mobile application. Tight collaboration with the Ria QA team shows great results and decreases the number of production defects.
